Tenure Earning Professor Global, Environment and Genomics Health Sciences

                      

The College of Public Health at the University of South Florida (USF), a metropolitan, research-intensive institution recently invited to join the prestigious Association of American Universities, is seeking a senior-level researcher and educator in the area of global infectious diseases, molecular parasitology, medical entomology, disease ecology and/or vector biology. We seek an individual with a doctoral degree and established record of competitive funding to include a current funded research program that will support graduate and post-doctoral training.


This is an opportunity to join a dynamic, interdisciplinary faculty engaged in infectious disease basic and translational research, particularly in the area of global infectious diseases, molecular parasitology, medical entomology, disease ecology and/or vector biology. The incumbent will be located in the USF Interdisciplinary Research Building (IDRB) which is a state-of-the-art research facility that contains an insectary, a certified BSL3/ABSL3 core facility, and is highly suitable for arbovirus research. The USF Genomics Program fosters the integration of bioscience approaches in experimental and environmental research with computational biology and has Computational and Sequencing Core facilities with consultants available to all USF researchers
