Description:

NIH-funded postdoctoral positions are available in the laboratory of Dr. Liang Shan in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Washington University School of Medicine. The Shan lab studies innate and adaptive immune response to HIV-1 and other retroviruses. These positions will provide an excellent opportunity for the successful candidates to pursue a career in the field of virology or immunology.

Ongoing Projects

• The CARD8 inflammasome in HIV pathogenesis and viral reservoirs

• Control of HIV-1 infection by NK cells and macrophages.

• HIV-1 reservoirs in CD4+ T cells and macrophages.

• Novel humanized mouse models for HIV infection and immunotherapy

Education Requirement:
• A PhD degree in microbiology, immunology or related field.
