A postdoctoral fellowship position is available in the Karst lab at the University of Florida. We study various aspects of norovirus pathogenesis including virulence mechanisms, interactions with intestinal microbiota, viral immunity, and host-virus interactions key to disease. The University of Florida has a diverse and highly interactive virology community that is supported by the Emerging Pathogens Institute and the Center for Inflammation & Mucosal Immunology. UF is also home to the NIH Southeast Center for Integrated Metabolomics, a NIH-funded comprehensive metabolomics resource core. A postdoctoral fellow will thus be poised to receive rigorous and broad training in the field of viral pathogenesis.
