A full-time Research Associate position is available in the laboratory of Professor Tuli Mukhopadhyay in the Department of Biology at Indiana University Bloomington (see and The successful candidate will purify recombinant protein, purify viruses, perform standard virological and molecular biological assays (plaque assays, qRT-PCR, cloning, growth curves, ELISAs, Western blots, etc.), and characterize viruses and host response using biophysical and cell biological assays. This position requires either a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Biology or a related field, and previous research experience in tissue culture, protein biochemistry and molecular biology. Most importantly, the position requires a positive attitude and solid work ethic, as well as good communication skills and the ability to work well with others in a laboratory setting.
