Faculty position, Virology
The University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry is recruiting a tenuretrack
faculty member at any level with expertise in virology. The successful candidate
will be a member of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology
(www.urmc.rochester.edu/mbi), and will benefit from outstanding infrastructure,
state of the art core facilities, a strong graduate program supported by multiple NIH
training grants, and a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary research environment.
The candidate’s expertise will complement a number of major NIH funded center
awards and contracts at the University including the New York Influenza Center of
Excellence (NYICE), which is a member of the international Centers of Excellence in
Influenza Research and Surveillance (CEIRS).
Well qualified candidates studying any aspect of virology are welcome. Candidates
studying basic and/or translational aspects of virology are strongly encouraged.
