A Post-doctoral position is available to join a research team studying mechanisms of replication of different Old World and New World alphaviruses, formation of their replication complexes and interference with the innate immune response. The ongoing projects are based on application of a wide variety of structural, biochemical, molecular biology and virology techniques, including CRISPR/Cas9 KO of cellular genes involved in alphavirus replication. The post-doc will be mentored by a team of experienced investigators in a highly collaborative environment of the Department of Microbiology. The successfully candidate will conduct experiments, analyze data, and assist with manuscript preparation.
