Are you interested in how viruses spread from one host to another? Do you think aerosols are cool and complicated? Do you like being creative and building new model systems? Are you interested in interventions to stop the spread of animal and human diseases? If you answered yes - We are looking for you!
The Lakdawala Lab at Emory University (Atlanta, GA) uses multiple model systems (from ferrets to humans) to study how influenza viruses spread from one host to another. We have an NIH funded position for a postdoctoral fellow to study transmission of influenza viruses.
We are a diverse and inclusive group looking for enthusiastic researchers interested in cross-disciplinary science. Ideal candidates include 1) virologist interested in learning aerosol collection techniques, 2) aerosol/environmental scientists with a desire to learn virology, or 3) you and your unique background.
