Description:

The Department of Virology, Immunology, & Microbiology at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine invites applications for a faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The position comes with competitive salary, generous start-up support, and ample BSL2/ BSL2+ laboratory space. We welcome applications from scientists with programs studying immune responses to infection, virology, and/or other branches of microbiology. Candidates must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree, with a demonstrated record of productivity and scientific excellence, and plans to develop a creative and independent research program.

The successful applicant will join a collaborative and vibrant department that values creativity, collaboration, and social and cultural diversity of our faculty, staff, and students. Research strengths in the department encompass molecular virology, viral pathogenesis, and innate and adaptive immune responses to viral and bacterial infection. The department is located on the Boston University Medical Campus, which supports state-of-the-art core facilities and includes several centers of excellence offering rich collaborative opportunities.
