The FDA’s Division of Viral Products seeks candidates to immediately fill an ORISE Fellow position in SARS-CoV-2 vaccine research. The project is to further optimize and characterize a live attenuated vaccine candidate in small animal models (Liu, et al, Nat Commun 13, 6792). The candidate must have received a bachelor or a master or a doctoral degree within three years of the date of appointment and have resided in the U.S. for at least three years within the past five years. Candidates at the doctoral level must be technically advanced, capable of driving a research project, and with exceptional written and oral communication skills. Individuals with expertise in reverse genetics of viral systems, immunophenotyping, or animal models of SARS-CoV-2 are especially desirable. A highly competitive salary is offered commensurate with education and experience.
