The T-Lymphocyte Biology Section (laboratory of Daniel L. Barber, Ph.D.) in the Laboratory of Parasitic Diseases of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) in Bethesda, Maryland, is seeking candidates for postdoctoral fellow positions. The lab works on T-cell responses to Mycobacterium tuberculosis and SARS-CoV-2 infection, two major global causes of death due to infectious disease. The lab uses both murine and non-human primate animal models to study tuberculosis and COVID-19 in its state-of-the-art, highly equipped biosafety level 3 (BSL-3) laboratories. Candidates with expertise in T-cell immunology are preferred, and no prior experience with high-containment work is required to be considered.
