Description:

Postdoctoral position available with the Myles laboratory in the Department of Entomology at Texas A&M University (College Station, TX).

We are looking for a highly qualified candidate to conduct studies on an NIH funded multi-year project. The project focuses on understanding the role of RNA interference (RNAi) pathways in the transmission of mosquito-borne viruses. This research is conducted at the confluence of several different areas of study that include molecular virology, the biology of small RNAs, next-generation sequencing, bioinformatics, and gene editing. 

The position offers opportunities for virologists to receive training in vector biology as well as a number of other cutting edge multidisciplinary methods and techniques.
