The Menachery Lab seeks a post-doctoral fellow e to work on SARS-CoV-2 infection and  pathogenesis.  The fully-funded position offers the opportunity to explore several areas of interest in the lab including:

Generation and characterization of SARS-CoV-2 mutants using reverse genetics.

Exploration of bat coronaviruses and correlates associated with emergence from zoonotic sources.

In vivo models of SARS-CoV-2 examining infection, pathogenesis, transmission, aging, genetic diversity and more.

Evaluation of non-genetic diversity found in coronavirus virions.

Development of novel antivirals broadly targeting coronaviruses
