Description:

The Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Pathology (MIP) is seeking a Laboratory Coordinator / Instructor / Culture Room Manager which will be a 9-month, full-time Instructor position. Primary responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate laboratory courses, coordinating the preparation of all media and other materials needed for MIP302 General Microbiology Laboratory, coordinating the course instructors, GTAs and ULAs for MIP302, maintaining and testing cultures of organisms used in microbiology laboratory courses. The Instructor / Laboratory Coordinator plays a critical role in running MIP302 as well as managing the cultures used in multiple laboratory courses in the MIP undergraduate program.

Education Requirement:
Research-based Master’s degree or higher at the time of hire in microbiology or closely related field. - 2 years of laboratory experience in bacteriology laboratory procedures. - 1 year of experience teaching undergraduate students.
