A full-time Research Associate position is available in the laboratory of Professor Tuli Mukhopadhyay in the Department of Biology at Indiana University Bloomington (see https://biology.indiana.edu/about/faculty/mukhopadhyay-tuli.html and TuliLab.com). The successful candidate will purify recombinant protein, purify viruses, perform standard virological and molecular biological assays (plaque assays, qRT-PCR, cloning, growth curves, ELISAs, Western blots, etc.), and characterize viruses and host response using biophysical and cell biological assays. This position requires either a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Biology or a related field, and previous research experience in tissue culture, protein biochemistry and molecular biology. Most importantly, the position requires a positive attitude and solid work ethic, as well as good communication skills and the ability to work well with others in a laboratory setting.
