Qualifications: Interested candidates must have a Ph.D. and have less than three years of postdoctoral experience. Applicants should have a background in virology (preferably HIV-1) immunology. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. The applicant should be well organized, pay close attention to detail, be reliable and motivated to participate in multiple levels of lab activity. Experience working with animal models and flow cytometry is preferred. JOB DESCRIPTION: Helps design, develop and test novel envelope-based vaccines to elicit immune response against HIV-1. The candidate will be responsible to execute animal immunization (mice), perform endpoint analyses including antigen-specific B cell sorting, serum antibody binding, neutralization assays etc to determine the cellular and humoral immune responses. Develops new ideas that promote current research. Prepares and publishes scientific manuscripts under the direction of the Principal Investigator.
