Rob Kalejta's lab at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is searching for a new colleague to join our study of viral epigenetics. Our lab uses human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) to understand how infecting viral genomes are sensed by cells and epigenetically modified to silence their transcription and inhibit their replication. HCMV either subverts this defense to initiate a productive, lytic replication cycle, or utilizes it to establish latency. We are interested in the molecular mechanisms employed by the host and the virus to fight this war for cellular domination!
We want our new colleague to be a hard-working, independent thinker who loves to do science. A record of productivity is important, but your previous field of study is not. Send Rob a CV and a one page summary of research accomplishments and future goals. The Kalejta lab is an inclusive environment. We seek candidates that embrace and augment our commitment to diversity and inclusivity.
