An NIH-funded postdoctoral research associate position is available to study virus-host interactions in human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and oncogenesis in the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics at Michigan State University.

A successful candidate will focus on studying host immune dysregulation during HPV-associated cancer progression using in vitro and in vivo models as well as human specimens. Candidates must have a PhD, MD or equivalent degree in virology, immunology, cancer biology, or related fields and publications in top peer-reviewed journals along with excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently within a research team. Expertise in tumor virology, virus preparation, high-resolution microscopy, mouse infection models, and/or bioinformatics is desirable. Salary is commensurate with experience and at NIH postdoctoral stipend levels.
