Caliciviruses Section, Laboratory of Infectious Diseases
A postdoctoral position is available in the Caliciviruses Section of the Laboratory of Infectious Diseases (LID), Division of Intramural Research, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, National Institutes of Health. LID conducts basic and translational research in enteric viruses, with a focus on the noroviruses. A major effort of the laboratory is directed toward the development of antiviral therapy for chronic norovirus diarrhea in immunocompromised individuals.
The ideal candidate will have experience in virology, ideally with technical expertise in molecular biology, viral immunology, intestinal organoid cell culture, single-cell transcriptional analysis, or bioinformatics. Ph.D. students in their final year of studies are highly encouraged to apply.
