National Institute of Pathogen Biology (NIPB), Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences & Peking Union Medical College, is seeking highly motivated individuals for tenured professor, tenured/tenure-track associate professor and assistant professor, and Young Outstanding Scholar program postdoctoral research fellow.

NIPB is one of the national leading institutions for Emerging Infectious Disease (EID), focusing on the basic and translational research for infectious diseases prevention and control, such as developing of diagnostic reagents, innovative vaccines and therapeutic drugs against important pathogens.

NIPB located in China Bio-medicine Park （CBP）in Daxing district, Beijing, P. R. China, with a convenient transportation close to subway station and Daxing international airport.

Recruitment faculty positions

1.Tenured Professor

(1) Annual salary Package≥900,000 RMB

2. Tenured/Tenure-track Associate Professor

(1) Annual salary Package≥700,000 RMB

(5) 3-4 Research assistants

3. Tenure-track Assistant Professor

(1) Annual salary Package≥600,000 RMB

NIPB will provide further benefits for faculty member:

1. At least 1 Master student and 1 PhD student plan each year

2. Laboratory space ≥100㎡-150㎡.

3. Providing stable support from the talent program and other research funding from CAMS & PUMC with first priority.

4. Providing strong academic platforms and research resources support within CAMS & PUMC network including hospitals, institutions and partners.

5. Sabbatical Leave for tenured faculty members.

Education and Experience Requirements

Faculty members will be placed in the appropriate rank based on their education, experience and achievement. The broad criteria are noted below.

Education

A PhD or MD degree in a field relevant to Health Sciences from a recognized, accredited institution, and post-graduate experience is required.

Experience and skills

Candidates must have professional recognition through research, scholarship and publications, and demonstrated academic subject leadership and academic management, teaching experience is preferred. Effective oral and written communication skills are required.

2. Young Outstanding Scholar Program (Abroad)

(1) Annual Salary≥500,000 RMB (Including housing subsidy of 80,000 RMB and family living allowance and insurance of 80,000 RMB)

NIPB will provide further supports as noted below.

1.Candidates with Young Outstanding Scholar Program can get additional support if they are selected in China National Postdoctoral Program For innovative Talents.

2. Candidates can apply for The Tenure-Track Faculty positions after the postdoctoral period with outstanding scientific research achievements, NIPB will provide Research and professional development support.

3. The supervisor will provide supplementary allowance and bonus based on the candidate’s academic performance.

Education and Experience Requirements

Postdoctoral fellows choose appropriate co-supervisors according to their own professional direction. The broad criteria are as follows.

Education

A PhD or MD degree in a health science related field from a recognized, accredited institution and related research experience is required. Candidates who have obtained their degree no more than 3 years or are about to graduate.

Experience and skills

Candidates must have outstanding research results, good academic ethics and excellent research potential. No academic misconduct or violation of laws and disciplines.
